Our work

Three pillars, one coordinated voice

A small number of high-impact workstreams to establish credibility, demonstrate progress and build long-term institutional relationships.

01

Regulatory

Engage with regulators to drive an agenda and strengthen enforcement of standards.

  • Responsible access: support appropriate prescribing by GPs and specialists, including digital pathways
  • Integrity: a clear distinction between medical and recreational products under robust Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards
  • Accountability: responsible communications and stronger enforcement against recreational advertising
  • Collaboration: work with the British Standards Institution (BSI) and neighbouring trade bodies to raise standards
02

Institutional voice

Build the industry's voice through public affairs, communications and stakeholder engagement.

  • Align responsible operators around shared priorities
  • Lead evidence-based policy and consultation responses
  • Engage government, regulators, Parliament and the National Health Service (NHS)
  • Build public trust through a unified industry voice
03

Science & evidence

Build the evidence that patients, prescribers and regulators need, working with clinics, clinicians and researchers.

  • Develop a shared data collection tool with members and partner clinics
  • Collect real-world data on quality of life and treatment efficacy
  • Measure safety, adverse effects and health economic outcomes
  • Work with clinicians and researchers, including the Medical Cannabis Clinicians Society (MCCS)
