About us
Responding together
As public attention grows and the regulatory framework is reviewed, the industry can contribute collectively as a credible partner to regulators and policymakers.
Where the sector stands today
Eight years after cannabis-based products for medicinal use (CBPMs) were authorised, the sector has an opportunity to strengthen evidence, raise standards and build confidence.
Public scrutiny
Public attention to medical cannabis is growing. Clear, evidence-based information can help distinguish prescribed medicines from recreational cannabis.
Regulatory review
The Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs (ACMD) review is due by the end of 2026. This is an opportunity to contribute evidence and practical experience to discussions about the existing framework.
Building clinical confidence
Wider National Health Service (NHS) adoption will require stronger evidence, professional education and guidance from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE).
A collective industry voice
The sector needs a credible collective voice to engage regulators and media, and to set clear standards for the sector.
Our objectives
Building the industry's institutional voice

The team
A proven track record
The CBMA is operated by Coalitions.eu, which also runs UIVEC (the French medical cannabis and CBD industry body, founded 2020) and A2M France (mature medicines, founded 2024). Structured collective action in these sectors has moved regulators and secured legislative wins within months.
